About Conforme.ca

Conforme.ca is a practical resource on technology law and personal information protection.

Why this site?

Businesses and professionals face significant obligations. Designating a privacy officer, maintaining an incident registry, conducting privacy impact assessments, obtaining valid consent, all without always knowing where to start.

Existing resources are often too legalistic, too general or too focused on large enterprises. SMEs, self-employed workers and professionals need practical information adapted to their reality.

What you will find here

Conforme.ca publishes practical guides, articles and free templates to help professionals and businesses understand and apply their personal information protection obligations.

All content is written in plain language with concrete steps. The goal is not to replace legal advice, but to make technology law accessible.

Who is behind Conforme.ca?

Conforme.ca is a project founded by Jeremi Lavoie, a lawyer and member of the Barreau du Québec and a lecturer at the Université de Montréal Faculty of Law. This dual expertise, both legal and pedagogical, guides the writing of every guide and article published on the site.
